Warriors' Curry Scores 50, Sets NBA Playoff Record

Stephen Curry scored 50 points, including a record-breaking 10 three-pointers, to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 112-98 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night. Curry's performance was the most points scored in a playoff game by a Warriors player since Rick Barry scored 55 in Game 5 of the 1967 Western Conference finals against the St. Louis Hawks.

Curry's 10 three-pointers also set a new NBA playoff record for most three-pointers made in a single game, breaking the previous mark of nine set by Klay Thompson in 2016. Curry now has 47 three-pointers in this year's playoffs, which is the most by any player in NBA history through the first two rounds.

The Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the series with the win. Game 3 will be played in Denver on Thursday night.
